What To Expect From Your Time With Me

Just a Bit About Me

Hello! My name is Artem, and I’m a professional watercolor artist with a background in architecture. I graduated from the prestigious Moscow Architectural Institute, a school well-known for its strong focus on drawing and painting. It was there that I developed my foundational skills as both an architect and an artist.

Throughout my architectural career, sketching and painting were always an essential part of my creative process. However, for the past seven years, I have fully dedicated myself to watercolor painting. This medium captured my heart with its fluidity, unpredictability, and ability to express atmosphere and emotion.

Over the years, I have participated in several exhibitions and organized plein air sessions for fellow artists. Now, I’m excited to share this beautiful and inspiring experience with visitors to Paris — the perfect city for painting in the open air!

How We Shape Every Experience

Every detail of your experience is thoughtfully curated. For each plein air session, all materials are carefully selected and fully prepared—easels, brushes, paints, and paper—everything you need is provided. These tools are not just supplies, but the result of my personal, years-long search for the very best. You’ll have access to the exact materials I use myself.

We choose only the most picturesque and inspiring locations across Paris—places that allow you to truly feel the spirit of the city, its calm, and its charm. And should the weather turn, we’ll move to cozy indoor spaces that still offer beautiful views and atmosphere.

Each session follows a clear structure led by an experienced instructor. Every step is demonstrated and explained in detail, with supporting visuals and hands-on guidance for different techniques. You'll receive individual feedback and suggestions tailored to your creative journey. Following this process is key to achieving wonderful results.

We place special emphasis on discussing each artwork, reflecting on outcomes, and offering thoughtful recommendations. All of this unfolds in a warm, friendly environment—accompanied by good food, great wine, and meaningful connection. At the end of the experience, your artwork will be beautifully framed and ready to take home—a tangible memory of your creative time in Paris.

Who Can Join a Plein Air Workshop?

I’m often asked how it’s possible that anyone can join a plein air session—even if they have no experience in drawing or painting. Of course, not just anyone!

But anyone who sincerely wants to learn or try their hand at painting is welcome. The key is a genuine interest and a passion for art—a desire to explore and work on something new. If you feel something like that, then you’re exactly the person I’m inviting!

In fact, I don’t think of those who come to my workshops as students coming to learn from an artist. Each of you is already an artist. We’re all participants in the plein air experience, we’re equals.
My role is simply to help you unlock your artistic vision, which you already have—it’s inside you. To help bring that out, we’ll be using watercolor, and I’ll be sharing key techniques that can help you express yourself.
